Snuper - "Platonic Love", "You=Heaven", and "It's Raining"

This isn't a review. It's more like a recommendation.
Snuper's pretty awesome.

For the past year I've said that Up10tion are the most promising male nugus. And I still stand by that statement however Snuper would be a very close second.

For one, they're consistent. Their theme is 1980s and they've done well to keep that running.

"Platonic Love" is probably the same sound someone thinks when they think 80s. It's very awesome, very high bar and has a very hard dance vibe. It has all of those fairy dust-sounding keys of the 1980s and a cool sounding chorus. And yes it does sound like that one a-ha song that K-pop loves to take inspiration from, making it that much more awesome.

"You=Heaven" keeps that same upbeat 80s sound, my only problem with it is that it takes for fucking ever to get somewhere. However when it starts to pick up and truly take off, it's still a pretty good, dare say, great song.

Again, "It's Raining" is still 80s but it's an entirely new concept. Unlike their past two cute concepts, "It's Raining" is way more dark in both looks and sounds while still keeping a punchy feel to the whole song. It reminds me a bit of Infinite's "The Chaser" (one of K-pop's best songs ever.) However this song does something really cool and unique by having the vocals fade out during the chorus and pick back up during the verses and bridge. When I first heard this I was instantly hooked.

This year has been particularly busy for me, so I haven't had a whole lot of time to dive into a lot of nugus. But I am certainly glad I made some time for Snuper, they have some real potential and I'd recommend them to anyone who's looking for consistent male rookies or someone who wants a break from the current trends a lot of boy groups are recycling these days.

Overall Snuper has made a great start and have made my end of the year favorite's list that much harder to make.

[MV Review] SHINee - "1of1"

After over a year of waiting SHINee follow up the awesome "View" with the decent "1of1." Onew is still incredible. Would totally jump onyu. There is no better to way to start a SHINee review, not even sorry. (I would leave it at that but seeing as I wasn't hired for my trolling abilities...) "1of1" is just okay. That's it. It's not terrible it's not great. It's just pretty decent, and I'm inherently fine with that; however I'm used to SHINee's releases musically blowing me away and this just ain't it. This song is like bubble gum, it's starts off really nice but eventually you either get sick of the same flavor being in your mouth or the gum loses it's flavor and you have to eventually spit it out and wash it down with some  refreshing ice water . The song starts off nice however the initial sound just isn't strong enough to sustain the rest of the song. Better luck next time guys. The video is the highlight ...

[MV Review] AOA - Heart Attack

The pretty girls are AOA! AOA starts off the summer deluge of girl group comebacks, which means that this summer will be pretty fucking awesome. The MV starts out with the AOA girls sans Seolhyun playing a game of lacrosse. Seeing as how bad the girls got raped in the game, I would say that the team they were playing must be playing for Duke . During their pitiful attempt at playing a game, Choa gets knocked down by an opponent. He takes off his helmet and Choa falls for him. Choa definitely wants it up the ass from this guy. However, once the song actually starts, it shows the AOA members and the other lacrosse team in the same classroom. I know Duke has high admission standards, thus the whites and Asians in the classroom, but did they stop affirmative action because I didn't see any other minorities in the classroom. Seolhyun is introduced as the new student, and all of the dudes want to bust a nut on her ass. Later on, Choa writes a letter to do dude she's lusting after, bu...
